Our pneumatic actuator series AT is a high quality, durable housing that contains a powerful actuator capable of turning the biggest valves in the market. This series of actuators (in spring return operation and double acting) are capable of being fail to open and fail to close. Using compressed filtered air, not necessarily lubricated is recommended. With a brand new, compact design - this Spring Return/Direct Acting pneumatic actuator is ideal for butterfly valve and ball valve automation.
► Spring Return Actuation Configuration
CCW - (Counter Clock Wise)
Air is supplied to Port A forcing the pistons away from each other (towards ends), rotating the drive pinion counter-clockwise and exhausting air out of Port B.
CW - (Clock Wise)
Air is supplied to Port B forcing the pistons toward each other (towards center), rotating the drive pinion clockwise and exhausting air out of Port A.
► Double Acting Actuation Configuration
Fail CCW - (Counter Clock Wise) Air is supplied to Port A forcing the pistons away from each other (towards ends), rotating the drive pinion counter-clockwise, compressing the springs and exhausting air out of Port B.
Fail CW - (Clock Wise) Air failure (loss of pressure) allows the compressed springs to force the pistons toward each other (towards center), rotating the drive pinion clockwise and exhausting air out of Port A.

The set screw in the end of the cylinder is used to limit the cylinder stroke.
1. Pressurize the cylinder port nearest the actuator housing, closing the valve.
2. Relieve cylinder pressure. See Valve Instructions to determine closed position.
3. Loosen the lock nut and turn the set screw in the end of the cylinder in or out until the valve is in the correct closed position.
4. Reapply cylinder pressure to the port nearest the actuator housing, closing the valve, to ensure that stop is correctly set.
5. Lock the set screw in place with the nut. Be sure the thread seal is in place.
